e-Welfare also enables family and friends to contact the deployed serviceman or woman. This assumes that the deployed person already has an e-Welfare account, for which a personal telephone number is issued. This account can be easily created through this website.
For the home front to reach a soldier by phone, you need to create a VoIP account, which can be done for example at www.12connect.com (this is not an e-Welfare account and is only meant for the home front). It is only possible to call to the so-called WiFI telephone or softphone (programm on the laptop), it is not possible to call to a mobile phone.
